We founded Netz Equestrian to share our passion for horses and dressage with others.
After years of education and valuable experience, we took the step into self-employment in May 2024 and established our home at Gut Weiglschwaig.
Here, we aim to offer horses and riders the best possible conditions from natural, horse-friendly management to training at the highest level.
For us, performance always goes hand in hand with joy and mutual respect. If you want to learn more about our individual paths, achievements, and strengths will find further insights below.

RAPHAEL NETZ

Raphael’s love for horses began as early as childhood, even though he didn’t come from a typical equestrian family.
The desire to dedicate his life to horses was always there, and over the years, his determination to perfect the art of dressage grew stronger.
Today, Raphael successfully trains horses from their first steps up to Grand Prix level.

He achieved his first international successes as a member of the German national team (pony) in 2013 and continued through all youth levels up to U25.
At the U25 European Championships, he won a total of six gold medals (three team and three individual), along with two silver and one bronze medal - with three different horses.
Since autumn 2023, Raphael has been competing at Senior Grand Prix level.
In his very first World Cup season (2023/24), he qualified for the Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, achieving an impressive 5th place and was subsequently named to the German national Grand Prix squad.
A special highlight was his performance at the CHIO Aachen, where he placed 5th in the “Preis der Soers”, and later was selected as a reserve rider for the German Olympic team.

From 2016 to 2024, Raphael worked as a rider for the Werndl siblings’ stable. Together with Selina, he founded the Netz Equestrian GmbH in May 2024, where he now serves as managing director and head trainer.
